Countries: Myanmar

I recently spent a long weekend in Yangon. Myanmar is the last country I have visited in south east Asia and after visiting Yangon I now want to see more of the country. After getting a visa for about $20 in the Bangkok embassy I booked flights for 4 days in Yangon before heading to Taiwan.

I’m not into “tourist” sites so the only tourist place that I visited was the Shwedagon Pagoda and walked around the city for the remainder of the time.

Yangon until recently was the capitol of Myanmar and it’s the most populous city in the country. It seems like a really diverse place and interesting to visit even though I only visited Yangon.

Myanmar is much less developed than other SEA countries and it’s less geared up for tourists but this is is what made Yangon a good place to visit.
